AFTERCARE:
- If you have an absorbent pad bandage that I put on you at the end of your appointment, keep it on overnight.
- Once you take your absorbent pad bandage off, wash the tattoo thoroughly with non-scented soap and warm water. Pat it dry with a clean towel.
- If you're using a second skin bandage the day after the tattoo, make sure you DO NOT put any ointment or lotion on before applying the second skin. Leave the second skin on for about 4 days. If the bandage is no longer covering the tattoo or if you notice fluid leaking outside of the bandage, take it off and follow the rest of these instructions.
- Once the tattoo is clean, apply a very thin amount of Aquaphor ointment with CLEAN HANDS. Do this morning and night for about 3 days.
- Once the tattoo starts peeling, stop using ointment and switch to a non-scented lotion if it feels dry or tight.
- NO direct sunlight, tanning, swimming, or soaking for about 2 weeks. NO baths, long showers, saunas, hot tub soaks, etc. Showering is ok as long as you're not hanging out and soaking in there!
